    Maya Abdominal Massage is a deeply nourishing practice.

    The primary focus of abdominal massage is to release adhesions affecting the internal organs and surrounding structures within the abdominal and pelvic cavities.

    This method promotes optimal organ placement and restores the flow of blood, lymph, nerve impulses and vital life-force energy to the area.

    My practice of abdominal massage includes both anterior(front) and posterior(back) techniques.

    Working the back, lower back, hips, sacrum, and coccyx helps to balance the structure of the pelvis.

    Your comfort and safety are my top priority throughout your massage experience. I offer several supportive positioning options, thoughtfully chosen based on your stage of pregnancy, personal preferences, and physical needs:

    Prone: to ensure you feel deeply relaxed and fully supported, I use specialized chiropractic pillows that allow for safe and comfortable prone (face-down) positioning when appropriate. These high-quality pillows are designed to gently accommodate your growing belly, offering the opportunity to lie face-down while still feeling completely at ease.

    Side-lying position: supported with pillows for your knees, belly, and head to maintain spinal alignment and relieve hip or lower back pressure.

    Semi-reclining position: this position helps reduce pressure on the major veins that can become compressed when lying flat, especially in the second and third trimesters—promoting optimal blood flow and circulation for both you and your baby.

    These positions are always adjusted to meet your individual needs and preferences, creating a safe and nurturing environment for both you and your baby.
